Also referred to as Roissy airport, it is considered to be the largest and the busiest airport in France and the second most visited airports in Europe right behind Heathrow Airport, London. Dating back to 1974 when the airport had cut its ribbon, contemporarily Charles de Gaulle Airport is nothing less than a city in itself. The airport is situated in the north-eastern part of the country in the Roissy-en-France which is approximately 23 km away from the centre of the city.
Named after Charles de Gaulle, a renowned statesman who created history, the airport is situated within the portions of the bit of different communes such as Val-d'Oise and Seine-Saint-Denis. There are a total of three terminals on CDG airport, Terminal 1 is situated in the exact opposite direction of Terminal 3 and is divided. Into these categories-

Terminal 2 is marked by numerous luxurious amenities that are provided in the airport, the terminal is forged with 7 satellite terminals. Terminal 3 has separate buildings for the arrival and departure of the flight, this terminal is situated far away from the rest of the terminals. Due to sudden surge in the passenger rates, there’s a fourth terminal under construction to welcome the tourists with warm hearts.
The airport has innumerable facilities for the comfort of its passengers, some of the perks for you to enjoy are the ATMs to withdraw the cash before entering or leaving the city. You can also find a pharmacy in case of some emergency, photo booth, baby care rooms and currency exchange facility can also be found on the terminals of CDG airport.
