Taxis at Dubai airport are reliable, and affordable, and offer a convenient way of transportation for both short and long-distance trips. If you’re traveling from the airport, it’s important to note that taxis have a minimum charge, so be sure to factor this into your budget. In addition, there are extra charges for luggage, after-midnight services, and trips to certain areas.

To ensure a smooth ride, be sure to plan and pre-book your taxi before arriving in Dubai. This way, you won’t have to worry about hailing a taxi at the airport or being overcharged.

Once you’ve booked your taxi, you’ll receive all the necessary details, including estimated time of arrival, fare quote, and contact information. By utilizing taxi services in Dubai, you can enjoy a stress-free journey and reach your destination quickly and safely.

Metro

The Dubai metro is one of the most used modes of transportation in the city. The reason is that it is connected through the entire city and avoids the heavy traffic that can be found on the roads. For tourists who are looking for quick sightseeing, or want to travel in a hurry, then the metro is the best option for them. The metro stops at various stops, with some dedicated to the airport.

These metros follow the Red Line, Green Line, and the Route 2020 line, where all of these networks travel to different cities and stations. The Red Line runs from Al Rashida, with around 29 stops in between, and goes to UAE Exchange, i.e.Jebel Ali. The Green Line starts from Etisalat, and goes to the Creek, with a total of 7 stops in between, and the Route 2020 line starts from Nakheel Harbour and Tower and goes to Discover Gardens with only 7 stops in between.

The train timings are mentioned below:

  1. Red Line & Route 2020: 5:00 AM - 12:00 AM from Saturday to Wednesday, 5:00 - 1:00 AM on Thursday & 10:00 AM - 1 AM on Friday.

  2. Green Line: 5:30 AM - 12:00 AM from Saturday to Wednesday, 5:30 AM- 1:00 AM  on Thursday & 10:00 AM - 1:00 AM on Friday.

The ticket price for traveling by train depends on the type of ticket you opt for, as there are multiple types like the Standard Adult Ticket, which costs from 4 dirhams to 8 dirhams. Similarly, there are Gold Class tickets, Concessionary tickets, and Pre-paid Standard tickets, all ranging between 3 - 17 dirhams.

However, it’s important to remember that these charges can’t be paid in cash or cards. You can only pay with the use of NOL cards, which can be found at the airport itself. These NOL cards need to be recharged either all at once at the airport, or from time to time to use for any public transport in Dubai.

As can be seen, the metro in Dubai is the most cost-effective transport available.

Bus

Similar to the metro, the buses in Dubai are one of the most relied upon modes of transport by the locals and tourists. The reason shouldn’t be surprising, because they travel to almost every corner of the entire city.

To board the buses, you need to get an NOL card, which, as mentioned, is essential for any transport. Upon entering the bus, you can swipe your card in the card machine, which would withdraw the ticket amount from your card. However, you might forget to swipe your card. In such cases, heavy fines are charged by the ticket checkers that go up to 2000 euros. That is why, if you plan to have a safe and secure journey through the city on a bus, remember to charge your NOL card and get the ticket.

There are various bus routes spread out throughout the city, and that is why traveling by bus is so popular in Dubai. These buses start from popular destination spots to low-in-tourism sites as well, which can be beneficial for travelers to travel to not just those places that are hubs for tourists, but also the underrated ones.

Trams are available all around the city and can take you from one destination to another. It’s an economical way of getting around and is far cheaper than taking a taxi or other modes of transport. The trams are modern and comfortable with well-designed seating, making the journey pleasant for everyone.

What’s more, the trams run 24/7 and can take you anywhere within the city. Similar to metros, you can buy an NOL card and recharge it with an amount of your choice and enjoy it. Trams also connect to the Dubai Metro and some other major attractions, giving you access to all parts of the city. Best Time to Visit Dubai

The best time to visit Dubai, as believed by many travelers, are the months of November to February. The reason is that during these winter months, the hot country sees a decline in temperature and that’s why it becomes a rather warm location. Apart from that, these months also see a rise in festivals, sports events, and activities all through the country. The first two months of the year, January and February, see the highest rise in tourism because these months are known for the Dubai Shopping Festival. Talking about the tourist spots, places like the desert also gain colder weather with a clear, blue open sky in the air.

Talking about the temperature, then the scale during the transition months of the year, like April to May, or September to October, reaches around 30 degrees celsius to 38-degree celsius. However, when the temperature drops and the winter begins, the scale drops to a recorded 17-degree celsius.
